Troy, Ohio-based Hobart has earned a Kitchen Innovations 2019 Award from the National Restaurant Association in advance of the NRA's Hotel-Motel Show.

Hobart's FT1000e Low Energy Series dishwasher is among 25 products selected as part of the 15th annual innovation awards. The company says the dishwasher's advancements in energy and resource savings were key in the award.

“The FT1000e provides high volume operations with outstanding performance and efficiency,” says Jerry Socha, marketing manager for Hobart’s Commercial Dishwashers Division. “The key to these savings comes from design advancements and energy efficient components that improve wash and air flow efficiency. Depending on the machine configuration, these advancements can reduce energy use and related costs by up to 20%, potentially saving operations up to $6,700 annually, making it the most efficient flight type dishwasher on the market with the lowest total cost of ownership.”

The NRA Hotel-Motel show is slated for May 18-21 in Chicago.
