At its four locations in Burbank, Glendale, Downey, and Buena Park, Porto’s Bakery & Café serves over 6 million customers a year. That number is set to grow with the debut of the bakery’s fifth location in West Covina, California.

The bakery’s modern-style building will be a welcoming environment for customers, featuring a butterfly roof design and skylights. Inside, Italian showcase cabinets will highlight the bakery’s exquisite pastries.

Among these pastries is three new offerings exclusive to the West Covina location: the new Mango Tres Leches, Chocolate Croissant Twist, and Fresh Blueberry Croissant.

“It’s just something new and unique to start West Covina with,” says Jennifer Wells, Porto’s corporate marketing manager. “When we opened Buena Park, we started with unique items like Ojo de Tigre, Double Chocolate Muffin, and Quesadilla Individual, and now they’re permanent menu items and doing very well.”

At a standalone coffee bar, customers can order a beverage without having to get in the bakery or cafe lines. There, they can sit and relax in a lounge furnished with comfortable chairs and loveseats.

Rosa Porto opened the family bakery’s first storefront in 1976. Since that time, Porto’s has continued to expand thanks to its one-of-a-kind pastries. Several of those pastries are available through Porto’s Bake at Home, a frozen product line available through online ordering on the bakery’s newly redesigned website.
