Despite being a family-owned staple of Los Angeles food culture since 1956, Primo’s Donuts is always open to change.

The latest change at this donut shop is the addition of vegan donuts. Starting Monday, April 1, Primo’s Donuts is now serving vegan donut flavors in an array of pastel colors.

Vegan flavors such as blueberry, vanilla, cherry, cinnamon, and plain sell for $1.65 per donut, compared to $1.50 per donut for regular flavors.

“After 63 years we have decided to introduce vegan donuts for the first time. There’s a huge demand for vegan donuts and we are excited for vegans to taste Primo’s! The vegan donuts taste just as good as our classic cake donuts. We can’t wait for customers to try the new line!” says Ralph Primo Jr., son of owners Ralph and Celia Primo.

Primo’s Donuts has been consistently ranked as a top Los Angeles donut shop by publications including the Los Angeles Times, Thrillist, Eater LA, Food & Wine, LA Weekly, and more.
