Cookies are helping to support emergency assistance and disaster relief this week, as Insomnia Cookies is raising money for the American Red Cross through cookie sales.

As part of its campaign, $1 from every Sugar Rush sold will go the American Red Cross. The special fundraiser lasts at participating Insomnia Cookies locations from Monday, March 25 until Monday, April 1.

The Sugar Rush is a box of twelve traditional cookies in any variety. The list of traditional cookies includes Chocolate Chunk, Snickerdoodle, Double Chocolate Chunk, Sugar, M&M, Double Chocolate Mint, Oatmeal Raisin, Peanut Butter Chip, and White Chocolate Macadamia.

The American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization providing emergency assistance, disaster relief, and disaster preparedness education in the United States. It’s perhaps best known for blood donations. According to the Red Cross, it provides roughly 40 percent of our nation’s blood and blood components, all from volunteer donors.

Insomnia Cookies is busy this month, as it is currently hosting a tournament in honor of college basketball tournament season. Called the “College Cookie Tournament”, it gives fans of all colleges and universities in range of an Insomnia Cookies a chance to vote for their favorite school and win prizes.
