A café dedicated to chocolate hazelnut spread Nutella has arrived at Union Square in New York City, debuting the morning of Wednesday, November 14. Nutella Café New York will feature a Nutella-inspired café menu and specialty espresso beverages.

The New York City opening comes after the success of the first Nutella Café in Chicago last year. Nutella’s first owned and operated restaurant debuted on May 31, 2017.

Much like the Chicago café, Nutella Café New York has an impressive menu, with items such as pound cake panzanella with yogurt and berries (topped with Nutella and toasted hazelnuts), a grilled baguette slathered in the Nutella, and a brioche sandwich filled with Nutella-flavored gelato.

“There truly is nothing like the taste of Nutella hazelnut spread, and with the overwhelmingly positive reaction to Nutella Café Chicago, we know our fans feel the same way. It's their excitement that propelled us to open another Nutella Café and continue to showcase the uniqueness and versatility of this beloved product,” says Rick Fossali, vice president of operations for Nutella Café.

“As a multicultural epi-center, New York gives us the opportunity to explore and offer new ways for our local fans to enjoy Nutella, while reaching millions of tourists visiting the city,” he adds.
