This year, Wicked is celebrating its 15th anniversary on Broadway. The Tony Award-winning musical is a unique look at the Land of Oz well before Dorothy dropped in during the events of The Wizard of Oz.

To help celebrate this special occasion, New York City’s Baked by Melissa has created an exclusive cupcake to be sold during the month of October. The WICKED cupcake is made of green vanilla cake and icing, green sugar crystals, and a fudge stuffing. The bite-sized cupcake will be available a la carte and as part of Baked by Melissa's Halloween cupcake assortment, both in-store at its 14 retail locations and online for shipping nationwide.

A portion of the proceeds from the WICKED cupcake’s sales will be donated to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and A BroaderWay. Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS unites theatre artists with theatre lovers to help those in need through lifesaving medications, health care, nutritious meals, counseling, and emergency financial assistance. A BroaderWay works with young women to develop their leadership skills in order to address social imbalances due to race, class, and gender that exist throughout the world today.

“I could not be more excited to help the hit musical celebrate this momentous anniversary, while also raising money for two amazing organizations in Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and A BroaderWay,” says Baked by Melissa President Melissa Ben-Ishay.
