Washington, D.C.’s Georgetown Cupcake wants to “make the world a sweeter place” through its cupcakes. The popular cupcake bakery will look to raise money for a special cause during the month of October.

As part of National Bullying Prevention Month, Georgetown Cupcake will offer a special “Give a Little TLC” cupcake. Through its partnership with the TLC, for every cupcake purchased during the month of October, the television network will donate $1 to the anti-bullying organization Love is Louder.

The “Give a Little TLC” cupcakes can be purchased online or in-store. Georgetown Cupcake currently has locations in Washington, D.C., Bethesda (Maryland), New York City (SoHo), Boston, Los Angeles, and Atlanta.

Love is Louder is a movement that was started to amplify the message that love and support are louder than any negative voice. Following a period of anger and confusion online after a series of tragedies involving bullying, the movement spread around the world to turn the message into action. Through its fundraising, the movement offers programs that reach more people, campuses, and communities.

Georgetown Cupcake and TLC first became involved when the network approached the bakery about filming a show, which aired for a few seasons. Through its deal with TLC, Georgetown Cupcake continues to offer a live look at its cupcake-making process via the Cupcake Cam Live.
