As part of its new restaurant design, Biscuitville has updated and expanded its biscuit window, which allows guests to view the biscuit-making process. This feature is so iconic to Biscuitville’s brand, the company proudly posts Home of the Biscuit Window Since 1966 in front of its biscuit makers. The new restaurant design opens up the front counter areas to create better views of the kitchen and encourages interaction between team members and guests.

Biscuitville Fresh Southern is branching out in the South with the May 16 opening of a new restaurant in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, across from North Summit Square Shopping Center. The new restaurant features an interior and exterior design that showcases the brand.

“Our new Winston-Salem location features the best of what our guests have always loved about Biscuitville and offers a fresh, new look with additional amenities,” says Biscuitville president Kathie Niven. “Our new design was carefully crafted to be warm and welcoming, which provides a comfortable, family friendly dining experience.”

Niven said that in addition to new restaurants, the company has remodeled dozens of other Biscuitville locations during the past two years as part of a growth phase for the company that also includes a number of new menu items.

“All of our new restaurants, the remodeled locations, and new menu items are being built on Biscuitville’s foundation of serving fresh, locally sourced, scratch-made food,” Niven says.

Other highlights of the new Biscuitville include exterior features that resemble a reclaimed Southern barn, with tin roof, barn doors and gooseneck lights. The interior features a modern look and feel with Southern heritage through industrial hardware, blue painted ceilings inspired by Southern porches, and mixed materials like wood, metal and tile.

An enhanced beverage area offers expanded drink options, including Salisbury, North Carolina-based Cheerwine. There is also a drive-through lane with two menu boards.

Charles King, a member of the Biscuitville Fresh Southern family since 2017, serves as operator of the new Winston-Salem restaurant. He previously was operator of the Biscuitville in Mt. Airy, North Carolina.

Headquartered in Greensboro, North Carolina, Biscuitville Fresh Southern serves scratch-made biscuits baked fresh, in front of guests, every 15 minutes. The company was founded in 1966 when owner Maurice Jennings opened two pizza restaurants in Burlington. The company operates 55 restaurants in North Carolina and Virginia.
