Every year around April, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival (simply known as Coachella to most) returns to Indio, California to bring some of the best in music, arts, and more to festival-goers.

A big part of the festival is the food lineup. Vendors bring interesting concepts to share and more delicious food is available than can be eaten in a single weekend. The Coachella food program features top restaurants from across the country.

One of the featured restaurants at this year’s event is a concept called Sweet Combforts. Co-Founders Geoff Manila and Executive Chef Anne Marie Damasco have teamed up with the gentlemen behind GD Bro Burger, Mark Cruz and Kevin Bobby Nguyen, for a twist on the traditional Belgium Liege waffles.

In Sweet Combforts’ version, the waffles are designed in a honeycomb pattern and are made with pearl sugars, which give a nice caramelized texture that is unlike anything else. The Instagram-worthy waffles come in a variety of toppings and drizzles such as fruity pebble, Oreo, animal crackers, and “plain jane.”

Sweet Combfort's liege waffle menu will be joined by ice cream to pair alongside. In addition, they'll be making this sweet street food even more effortless by serving them on a stick.
