According to Eater, Starbucks had recently posted job openings for a Princi store in Seattle that is opening soon. Starbucks has confirmed that this Princi location is a standalone bakery scheduled to open this summer.

This would be the first such Princi bakery outside of the one located at the Starbucks Reserve Roastery in Seattle. Standalone versions of the bakery are expected to open in Seattle, New York City, and Chicago in 2018.

In 2016, Starbucks became a global licensee and investor in the Italian restaurant Princi, a boutique bakery and café founded by acclaimed artisan baker Rocco Princi in 1986. The move allowed Starbucks to bake at store level for the first time ever.

The new Seattle location will bake on-site all day every day, just like the other Princi locations around the world. Items such as sourdough breads, focaccia pizzas, and crispy pastries will be available.
