A new biscuit and waffle shop will soon open in Richmond, Virginia. 521 Biscuits & Waffles is a standout concept that will be entirely gluten-free, according to the Richmond Times-Dispatch.

“When members of our family were diagnosed with celiac disease and gluten intolerance, we didn't want to stop eating the foods we loved. So we adjusted our family recipes to get the same taste without gluten,” says co-owner Maria Jose Mejia Ruiz.

These family recipes are set to satisfy plenty of customers in Richmond. Biscuits and waffles will be available for breakfast and lunch from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. EST on Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. EST on Saturdays.

“We’ll have options for people with other food intolerances as well,” co-owner Aaron Bond tells Richmond BizSense. “We want everyone to be able to come to the table and not have to worry.”

There will also be breakfast sandwiches and tasty toppings for the biscuits and waffles. 521 will offer sides such as breakfast potatoes, fried apples, and yogurt parfaits.
