Los Angeles restaurant partners with bakery for bagels and cream cheeses
The bagel flavors are standard (plain, whole wheat, rye, and everything), but the true innovation comes in the toppings. The six varieties of cream cheeses include cacio e pepe (“cheese and pepper” in Italian), masago-scallion, pepperoni pizza, giardiniera, and spinach-artichoke.
Fall has also added bagel breakfast sandwiches to the menu along with breakfast bowls (one bowl is based on the Reuben sandwich). “I wanted to create something different for L.A., and integrate breakfast here in a creative way,” Fall tells the Los Angeles Times.
The new breakfast offerings are not the only recent contribution Tinfoil: Liquor & Grocery has made to the L.A. food scene. One month ago, the restaurant partnered with California bakery Mr. Holmes Bakehouse for an unconventional product known as the “Just Try It” Croissant. It includes housemade pastrami, pickled onions and oranges, and manchego, and is topped with pumpkin and fennel seeds.
