Chicago’s Loyola University and Reno’s University of Nevada, Reno are set to tip-off Thursday, March 22 in the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel and Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve have made a tasty wager on the big game.

If Nevada wins, Mayor Emanuel will send 16 dozen doughnuts from Reno’s DoughBoys Donuts to Mayor Schieve. If Loyola wins, Mayor Schieve will send 16 dozen doughnuts to Mayor Emanuel from Chicago’s Dat Donut.

“The Loyola Ramblers have electrified Chicago,” said Mayor Emanuel in a press release. “While I fully expect that we’ll be celebrating a win with Chatham donuts at Chicago City Hall, we’re prepared to deliver sweet treats to Reno City Hall in the unlikely event the Wolf Pack is able to earn a Sweet Sixteen victory.”

“It’s been an unbelievable season for our Wolf Pack as they stay focused on The Hunt,” said Mayor Schieve. “We are looking forward to our donuts Mayor Emanuel!"

Loyola and Nevada will face-off at Philip's Arena in Atlanta, Georgia at 6 p.m. CT. Loyola is an 11-seed, while Nevada is a 7-seed. Loyola defeated Tennessee to advance to the Sweet Sixteen, while Nevada defeated Cincinnati.
