New Voodoo Doughnut CEO Chris Schultz

On Wednesday, January 17, Voodoo Doughnut announced that it has appointed restaurant industry veteran Chris Schultz to the role of CEO. The iconic doughnut shop, with six locations in four states, looks to continue its growth and development under Schultz's lead.

Schultz was most recently the Senior Vice President of Operations at MOD Pizza, where he helped grow the company to over 300 locations nationwide. Before that, he had served as an operational advisor to the senior executive team at Starbucks for 13 years. There, he played a role in the company's expansion both domestically and internationally.

“Voodoo has all the magic needed to create something really big and Chris has the experience we need as we realize our dream of a culture-driven business,” says Kenneth “Cat Daddy” Pogson, co-founder of Voodoo Doughnut. “His commitment to the customer and dedication to building a strong culture will pave the way as we try and put more Magic in the Hole.”

“Voodoo has all the ingredients to go from ‘the little company that could’ to the next big thing,” says Schultz.  “We will be retaining all that’s wonderful to make sure the Voodoo that’s done so well isn’t lost as we introduce ourselves to new customers, communities and employees.”
