Haydel’s Bakery in New Orleans, Louisiana is one of the area bakeries that specializes in the popular king cakes this time of year. As tradition goes, these cakes usually feature a king cake baby, a plastic figure which symbolizes luck and prosperity.

Putting a twist on this tradition, Haydel’s is looking to find new faces for the baby. More specifically, the bakery is asking its customers to send in their faces as a king cake baby for the chance to win a special prize.

Visitors to the Haydel’s storefront or its pop-up locations can take a picture inside of its king cake baby cutout, then upload it to Facebook and tag the bakery in the post. One lucky winner will receive two tickets to Bacchus Rendezvous 2018, a special event that takes place every year around Mardi Gras.

Bacchus Rendezvous is one of the biggest parties of the year in the city. One of the key features of the party is a parade, which will be recognizing its 50th anniversary in 2018. The “celebrity monarch” of the parade will be J.K. Simmons, an actor and Academy Award winner.
