Nationally-recognized bakery SusieCakes has grown considerably since its first store opened in Brentwood, California eleven years ago. Since that time, the bakery has expanded throughout California and into the state of Texas.

Now, SusieCakes has announced that it will be opening its third location in Texas, with this latest store to serve customers in Fort Worth. The new bakery location, setting up shop in the Westbend Shopping Center in the University District, will open its doors on Saturday, September 23.

“We hope we can make any occasion, or anyone’s day, a little sweeter,” says SusieCakes founder Susan Sarich. “We were excited by the warm reception we received from Texans after opening bakeries in Dallas and Plano last year. Fort Worth was the ideal choice for our next location because of its commitment to family and tradition, which reflects the inspiration behind SusieCakes. We look forward to becoming a new part of those traditions for the community as we help them celebrate life’s special moments.”

SusieCakes will celebrate with a free SusieCakes mug (with purchase) for the first 50 guests at 10 a.m. CT. The bakery will also be holding festivities at the location, such as face painting, kids cookie decorating, a balloon artist, dessert samples, the opportunity to meet Susan Sarish, and a raffle to win cake for a year.

Customers will also have the chance to draw a gift from SusieCakes’ surprise bag when they make a purchase, with prizes varying in value up to $50.
