Susanne Ng is a home baker from Singapore who creates pastel works of art. Her creations have made her an Instagram star and for good reason. The cake sculptures resemble adorable stuffed toys.
Ng makes the incredible works of art using chiffon cake, which is sponge-like in consistency. She began making them for her kids and their friends a few years ago, and has mastered the technique since then. She used chiffon rather than a butter cake because of the amount of sugar she’d have to use.
The cakes have brought her a great deal of attention, so much so that she has released two books on chiffon cake baking, and another on macarons.
