Nothing Bundt Cakes has hit a huge milestone – the chain recently opened its 200th bakery location nationwide in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

The 200th location also happens to be the bakery’s first in Michigan. Owners Scott and Christine Vogel fell in love with the Grand Rapids community after moving there from the Northeast and wanted to dig deeper roots by opening a bakery.

To celebrate its grand opening, Nothing Bundt Cakes will hold special events and deals. On Friday, April 7, the bakery will raise money for a great cause. The Kids’ Food Basket Benefit Day will help Michigan kids affected by hunger. 20 percent of sales will be donated to this organization that attacks childhood hunger to help young people learn and live well.

A ribbon cutting ceremony will also take place with the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce and the West Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in attendance.

On Saturday, April 8, the first 200 guests in the door will receive free bundtlets for a year (one bundtlet per month for 12 months). Bundlets are smaller versions of the Nothing Bundt Cakes specialty items.

From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. that day, there will also be face painting, balloon art, photo booth, and samples of cake for families.
