New distribution centers in Chicago, New Jersey, Louisville and Toronto incorporate modern warehouse designs, space efficiency techniques, and a combination of innovative technologies to sustain growth in these multi-temp facilities. Each facility also features a new state-of-the-art baking center with high-quality equipment and space to support innovation development and to facilitate ongoing customer interaction and partnership.
The distribution centers were designed with customer and community interests in mind and boast innovations that increase both efficiency and sustainability, including a net increase in storage of more than 6,000,000 cubic feet across ambient, frozen and refrigerated temperature environments. Design features that demonstrate commitment to a sustainable future include:
Motion-sensor LED and T-5 lighting to reduce electricity usage
High-speed roll-up cooler and freezer doors to reduce energy losses
Heat reclamation from refrigeration systems to increase efficiencies in coolers and freezers
