Dessert manufacturer Love and Quiches Desserts is celebrating its 40th anniversary in business this year.

The company’s 40 years in business has brought with it many milestones, including its expansion from kitchen to garage to small factory to its present 45,000 sq ft facility in Freeport, NY.

Other highlights include: the expansion of Love and Quiches’ scratch-baked product lines, from its original quiche and pecan pie to new items such as Greek yogurt cheesecake; the exporting of the US-based company’s products internationally, to restaurants and retail stores as far as the Middle East and Asia; and its certification as a New York State Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE).

“When I founded this business back in 1973, as a humble enterprise based out of my own home kitchen, I never envisioned my ‘hobby’ would grow into what it is today — a multimillion-dollar global brand,” says Susan Axelrod, chairwoman and founder of Love and Quiches, in a statement. “It has been a wonderful journey, one filled with change and excitement and, above all, the extraordinary opportunity to share my passion for quality food with so many.”
