Bringing federal workers more healthy food choices at work, the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) awarded a 7-year contract to operate the food services at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in Washington, D.C. to Maryland-based Sodexo Inc., world leader in Quality of Daily Life solutions. Sodexo began operations at two cafes in January for the 5,000+ federal employees in the FAA's Independence Avenue, SW headquarters.

UFood Grill: grilled and steamed and never fried, UFood Grill prepares healthy burgers, un-fries, wraps, salads, paninis and smoothies. The wide variety of menu items include vegetarian, reduced sodium and fat, gluten-free, low-calorie and low-carb options.

Global Roots: authentic, unique flavors including pan-Asian, Latin, Mediterranean and Indian cuisine at a display cooking station that leverages Sodexo's Your Health, Your Way® menu items.

ZeBi Zest Bakery: nutritional meals from sustainable sources, featuring flatbread sandwiches, soups, fresh baked goods, Aspretto coffee and Numi teas.

AFC Sushi: prepared fresh daily with quality ingredients, AFC sushi is conveniently packaged for customers on a tight schedule and features specialty items such as Edamame salad.
