Just in time for the holidays, two new bakeries are starting up in the Akron, OH, area.

Dipped and Dazzled Bakery opens at 3732 Darrow Road Suite 10, in Stow. Owners are Heather Rice and Tara Colopy, according to the Akron Beacon Journal Online.

Rice had been baking cakes out of her home, and Colopy was one of her customers. When Rice decided it was time to take her home-based business to the next level, Colopy was ready to get involved.

They specialize in special occasion cakes, cupcakes and party favors and treats, including a variety of cookies, brownies and cake pops. Check out their work at www.dippedanddazzled.com; phone 330-689-7002.

In Cuyahoga Falls, Trigo’s Market Bakery celebrated its grand opening on Nov. 1, with a ribbon cutting at 11:30 a.m. at its new spot in the On Tap Plaza, 3247 State Road.

The bakery is operated by brothers Bradley and Randall Shipp. The pair had been baking out of a church kitchen and selling artisan bread at farmers markets. They make European-style breads and French pastries, including baguettes, croissants, cinnamon bread and scones.
