Two major Dallas-based companies, Hotels.com and Corner Bakery Cafe have teamed up to donate sandwiches to City of Dallas Operation Beautification events in the Tenth Street Historic District. The joint donation comes on the heels of the recently released Hotels.com Club Sandwich Index, which revealed the average price of the room service staple at Dallas area hotels is $12.06.

Tenth Street area clean-up events will begin at American Care Academy at 8 a.m. on Saturday, May 17. The American Care Academy is in the heart of the historic district and is part of the American Care Foundation (ACF) which identifies and assists in issues that negatively impact children. The goal of the ACF is to support families through education, assistance and training. Hotels.com supports the foundation through its Expedia, Inc. Annual Day of Caring global volunteer program.

"We appreciate the support from Corner Bakery Cafe and Hotels.com and that they've selected American Care Academy to celebrate the club sandwich index as part of our community clean-up day," said Patricia Williams, MBA, founder of the ACF.

Volunteers interested in participating in Operation Beautification for the Tenth Street Historic District should arrive at American Care Academy, located at 530 South R.L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, at 8 a.m. this Saturday for registration. Lunch will be served at noon.
